Goodbye summer, hello winter! So summer is ending and winter is well on its way. Christmas stock is appearing in stores, all the new technology and gadgets are being released and I am getting way too excited! I'm the biggest Christmas fan ever! Don't get me wrong, I love summer. I love being lovely and warm, relaxing in the sunshine in a foreign country experiencing the unknown.. but Christmas! Well that's just something else.  Fairy lights, excited children, snow, snuggle nights in front of the fire, what's not to love?!  It's this time of year when I become a complete and utter big kid and anything remotely Christmassy draws me in. It's my first Christmas in my own home this year so I have all the family coming round for Christmas dinner and I am so excited! I imagine my whole house is going to look like santas grotto with fairy lights everywhere and every decoration you can think of. Okay, so I recently started to learn to play the guitar. Who knew how difficult it could be! The ends of my fingers are so sore, it's unreal! We went to a music store in town and bought a second hand fender acoustic guitar and then began to learn using a mixture of YouTube videos, booklets and help from friends and family. I'll admit, I'm still pretty rubbish at it. But I cannot wait for the day I can just pull out a guitar and start playing!  I'm a strong believer in if you want to do something, go ahead and do it! What's the worst that can happen?! So that's what I did, I went ahead and did it! Nobody wants to go through life constantly wondering what if, take every chance as you get it!

Oh dear, looks like I've been neglecting my new blog! I was wondering, how many bloggers enter competitions on twitter/facebook? I look a good comp but have recently been getting a bit of stick due to the fact I have a blog and have won a competition. I had a certain lady claim that I had agreed to write on my blog about the twitter page and about the competitions that they do. She then went on to insult me several times and call me all the names under the sun. Comping to me is a hobby, as I'm sure it is to many others and no one should be cyber bullied in that way just for winning a competition. I was wondering how many others were out there that have had the same happen to them? But I can safely say, it definitely hasn't put me off my comping and nor will it do if it happens again in the future. Everyone has the same chance in a competition and it is just the luck of the draw! So to all my fellow compers out there, happy comping!! and to those who haven't yet tried ...

Today it has hit me that I am not as organised for Christmas as I thought I was! I've spent all day wondering what I can get for presents for all the family and trying to remember for the life of me what I have already bought! It's so hard to buy for people such as my partners family as I'm not always aware of what they already have. The thing that is worrying me the most is the fact that for the first time ever, I am having all the family round for Christmas dinner and I want the day to go perfect. I haven't even thought about buying the food in yet! I need to buy EVERYTHING! I'm so excited and want a lovely day with all the family! Christmas is my favourite time of the year because everyone seems so happy and it is time to be spent with close ones. Whats your favourite thing about Christmas? I love making hand made Christmas tree decorations and hand made cards too!
